Latest Award System - CACIB Shows

In the following paras award system for CACIB shows is being explained as per latest FCI instructions. Same will be adopted for all CACIB, KCP and GDCP shows in Pakistan.

The following competitions will be conducted for Males of each breed followed by Females of same breed.

1. Minor Puppy Males: 3-6 months
2. Puppy Males: 6-9 months
3. Junior Males: 9-18 months (Junior CACIB will be awarded in this class. But no Reserve Junior CACIB will be awarded.)
4. Intermediate Males: 15-24 months
5. Open Class Males: 15 months and over
6. Champion Class Males: Champions
7. CACIB Competition Males. Following procedure will be followed: -
   1. Excellent-1 Males of Intermediate, Open and Champion will participate in CACIB Competition.
   2. CACIB, Reserve CACIB and CAC will be awarded in this competition.
   3. CAC will be awarded with CACIB to the same winning Dog.
   4. Callback for Reserve CACIB competition will be from the “Winning Class” of this competition. (Callback system is explained in para 26.)
   5. In case CACIB winner dog is already a National Champion then the CAC will pass on to Reserve CACIB winner dog.
   6. In case Reserve CACIB winner dog is also a National Champion then a separate competition will be held between the rest of the dogs in CACIB competition i.e. (Intermediate and Open) and winner dog will get the CAC.
8. Veteran Class Males: 8 years & above (V-CACIB may be awarded in this class. But no Reserve V-CACIB will be awarded.)
9. Minor Puppy Female: 3-6 months
10. Puppy Female: 6-9 months
11. Junior Female: 9-18 months (Junior CACIB will be awarded in this class. But no Reserve Junior CACIB will be awarded.)
12. Intermediate Female: 15-24 months
13. Open Class Female: 15 months and over
14. Champion Class Female: Champions
15. CACIB Competition Female.   Following procedure will be followed: -
    1. Excellent-1 Females of Intermediate, Open and Champion will participate in CACIB Competition.
    2. CACIB, Reserve CACIB and CAC will be awarded in this competition.
    3. CAC will be awarded with CACIB to the same winning Bitch.
    4. Callback for Reserve CACIB competition will be from the “Winning Class” of this competition. (Callback system is explained in para 26.)
    5. In case CACIB winner Bitch is already a National Champion then the CAC will pass on to Reserve CACIB winner Bitch.
    6. In case Reserve CACIB winner Bitch is also a National Champion then a separate competition will be held between the rest of the Bitches in CACIB competition i.e. (Intermediate and Open) and winner Bitch will get the CAC.
16. Veteran Class Female: 8 years & above (V-CACIB may be awarded in this class. But no Reserve V-CACIB will be awarded.)
17. Minor Puppy Winner.          Male and Female winners of Minor Puppy Classes will compete for this title.
18. Puppy Winner.    Male and Female winners of Puppy Classes will compete for this title.
19. Best of Breed (BOB)
    1. CACIB-J winner, CACIB Winner and the CACIB-V winner from both sexes will compete for Best of Breed (BOB).
    2. The Judge must also choose the best exhibit from the opposite sex (BOS) next to the BOB Winner.
    3. Maximum 6 exhibits can be in this class.
    4. Best of Breed (BOB) and Best of Opposite Sex will be awarded in this class.
    5. Best of Breed (BOB) will qualify for Group Line-up.
20. Best Junior of Breed.   Junior Winner of Both sexes will compete for this Title.
21. Best in Group (BIG).   All Breed Winners (BOB) will compete for this competition.
22. Best Minor Puppy in Show.   All Minor Puppy winners from all Breeds will compete for this line-up.
23. Best Puppy in Show.    All Puppy winners from all Breeds will compete for this line-up.
24. Best Junior in Show.    Junior BOB winners will compete for this line-up.
25. Best in Show (BIS) & Reserve Best in Show (RBIS).    All Group winners will compete for Best in Show. Before selection of Reserve Best in Show, callback is also important. (Callback system is explained in para 26.)
26. Callback System. Callbacks are used during CACIB Competition and during BIS Competition. This can be explained with following examples.
    1. CACIB competition for Males is in progress. Excellent-1 dogs from Intermediate, Open and Champion classes are participating. If Excellent-1 dog of Open Class wins CACIB, then 2nd dog of Open Class will be called back in the ring to participate for Reserve CACIB.
    2. BIS competition is in progress. If Group winner of Group-7 wins BIS, then 2nd best dog of Group-7 will be called back in the ring to participate for competition of Reserve BIS.

27. KCP Titles. KCP already has a finalized criterion for a Dog to become a National Champion. Two New Titles have been introduced by KCP which are being explained below.

    1. Pakistan Champion.    A dog will be considered as Pakistan Champion if he wins 3 x CACs OR 3 x CCs under 3 x different judges.
    2. International Champion.    A dog will be considered as an Intl Champion if he wins 4 x CACIB awards under 3 x different judges from 3 different countries.
    3. Grand Champion.    A Dog which is already a Pakistan Champion will be considered as a Grand Champion if he wins 3 x BOB OR 3 x BOS OR 2 x BIS awards 
    4. Pakistan Junior Champion.   A junior dog will be considered as Pakistan Junior Champion if he wins 3 x J. CACIBs or 3 x J. CCs or a total of 3 x mixed awards from J. CACIB or J. CCs.
