German Shepherd Specialty Shows are conducted by the German Shepherd Dog Club of Pakistan (GSDCP), an affiliated breed club of KCP, under KCP authority and the official FCI Breed Standard.
They use a specialised grading-based judging system (Ortsgruppe/OG, Landesgruppe/LG and Sieger Show formats) rather than the CAC/CACIB system. Stock Coat and Long Stock Coat are always judged separately.
Classes
Judging commences with males, followed by females; the same class structure applies to both sexes.
| Class | Age | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Minor Puppy | 6–9 months | Very Promising / Promising / Sufficient |
| Puppy | 9–12 months | Very Promising / Promising / Sufficient |
| Junior | 12–18 months | SG (Very Good) / Good |
| Youth | 18–24 months | SG (Very Good) / Good |
| Adult | 24 months and above | VA / V / SG / G |
Grading system
- The grading system (VA, V, SG, G, etc.) replaces the CAC/CACIB award system used in ordinary championship shows.
- Judge's critiques for the first four placed dogs are recorded via the Digital Ring Steward System.
Sieger Titles (Sieger Show)
- Sieger / Siegerin, Reserve Sieger / Siegerin.
- Junior, Youth and Veteran Sieger / Siegerin.
- Progeny Group Competition (min. six progeny from at least three different dams, all present).
Records
- GSDCP submits official results to KCP for verification and permanent recording.
- Gradings, placings, critiques, Sieger titles and progeny-group results update each dog's profile.
KCP Points System
German Shepherd Specialty Shows use gradings rather than the CAC/CACIB points awards; where required, additional breed-specific evaluations may be conducted and recorded.
